School dinner at Houndsfield Primary School is provided by Enfield’s catering
Services and we follow a menu system that repeats every 3 weeks. Our school meals are cooked on the premises.
As part of Enfield Catering Services’ commitment to schools, they have produced a leaflet which not only includes details of the lunch menu, but also information on the values and source of the food on offer.

Our school uses the ParentPay system for lunch money and other transactions (trips etc). In order for a child to have a lunch, they need to be set up on the system. The school will contact families when this is required.
Parents/Carers can pay for lunches via the ParentPay website (www.parentpay.com) with a username and password, or at the nearest PayPoint service with printed barcodes.
The school operates a ‘No debt’ Policy.
Please note that if you use PayPoint to pay for your child’s meals, they must do this 3 days in advance to ensure funds are available in time.

Universal Free Meals
All pupils in Reception, year 1 and year 2 will be able to receive a school meal at no cost to the parent/carer. This does not depend on your household income or whether you receive any benefits – every child in these classes is eligible to take up the offer.
If you are on benefits please still complete an application form for Free School Meals as this allows our school additional funding.
Children may bring their own packed lunch; these must be provided in a suitable container, with no glass bottles. Packed lunches should not contain unhealthy items such as fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate; we are a ‘Nut Free’ school due to allergies so no items containing nuts should be in your child’s lunchbox.
