Who would have known Hogwarts and Seussville were across the hall to each other?
In Seuss class we enjoyed World Book Day very much! We have many of Dr Seuss’ books in our classroom and have managed to read quite a few!
Our morning started with The Cat in the Hat, where we wrote in rhyme just like in the book.
Naturally, with Miss Crawley loving science so much, we also had a science investigation. After reading The Lorax, we discussed global issues such as deforestation, global warming and pollution. We recognised that all over the world, many plants and animals are suffering due to this.
Our investigation: how can we remove oil from water?
We used lots of different equipment to get the oil out of the water. We were most successful using filter paper and cups to scoop it!
