Thursday 1st March was World Book Day! It was based around our class author – Benjamin Zephaniah.
In English, we had fun performing Benjamin Zephaniah’s poetry with a Jamaican accent, actions and expression.
After, we were lucky to visit the library and share stories with our friends. Even Miss Murray joined in with a book of her own!
In maths, we converted between British and Jamaican currency and played dominoes which is a popular game in the Caribbean.
We learnt about Benjamin Zephaniah’s religion (Rastafarianism) and also learnt the colours of the Jamaican flag. We spent the afternoon drawing famous Jamaican’s including Usain Bolt and Bob Marley.
