At the beginning of this term, Year 6 took a visit to the Imperial War Museum in Lambeth.
We were incredibly lucky to sit down with evacuees from WW2 and hear their stories. These were both informative and moving. We were then able to ask them questions about their experiences to learn more.
After talking with the evacuees, we looked around the museum and the artifacts they had on display from many wars, including the first and second world war which link to our core text: Goodnight Mr Tom.
We all had a great day and the pupils received many comments and compliments on their behaviour, attitude, questions and interest shown – which has left the teachers and pupils feeling proud!
