We were shocked at Houndsfield this week to learn that a ginormous pumpkin has been growing in our allotment! Mr Moles brought it to our assembly on Monday and we couldn’t quite believe the size! Mr Moles told us that the pumpkin has grown so large because it had the right conditions and nutritious compost made from the animal waste from our goats.
We are looking forward to tasting some pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup made from this pumpkin at our Cultural Evening on Friday. Maybe Miss Holland will share her secret recipe!
