Today was our second week at Forest School on our way there we noticed a big tractor in the park cutting the grass the children where very sensible and stood to the side of the grass whilst it passed and waved to the driver.
We saw lot of flowers “I want to smell the red ones” Aiden said pointing to them.
Rae noticed that the rose petals had some rain drops on them “Look! She shouted excitedly picking one up carefully.
The children collected natural materials from the grass that we could stick on our hats, we spent along time making hats and were all very focused. We spoke about only taking leaves and petals that had already fallen on the ground as this was kinder for the plants.
After we made our hats some of us took part in a nature hunt and searched our site for the things on our list. Khadijat spotted a bird and Frankie found some twigs.
On our way back to school we saw a bird that had sadly died; and discussed how we think the poor bird could have died. Frankie said “I don’t think it was a human” Aiden though that an “alien had done it” and Khadijat said that “maybe another bird had done it”.
